This photo was taken in the protest period in beirut after the

assasination of Lebanese P.M. Rafik Hariri. During that period, the

Lebanese poeple managed to grow over a civil war that started in

1975 and ended in 1990, and peace really existed between the

lebanese people. This photo symbolizes the unity between

Christianity and Islam. Please i would like to know your opinion, so

Great composition and image! I think this would have more impact if you Darkend the image and upped the contrast with a vignete around the outside to bring attention to the Christian and Islamic symbols. As it is the image is washed out a little too much. I still like what you have done with showing Unity. I was going to post an example but didn't know if you would mind.

Thanks Moe, I wanted to ask first. Here is one suggestion, I think it brings out the unity of the 2 Faiths. Darkend the image added contrast and vignete.

Moe, excellent imagery. Very powerful in my opinion. I do agree with Don about contrast and darkening of the 'background' to bring out the main subject. You want viewer's attention to be drawn to the subjects, and Don's version does that very well.

Moe, I am a person that sees meanings in things which perhaps are not there. I see the cross in front - Christianity 'wins' over Islam? Christianity before Islam? Perhaps it would have been better to arrange the two subjects side by side to better convey the 'unity' message to 'overthinking' people like me :)

Just my humble thoughts... M

Hey Donald, i don't think that i meant any winning of a religionover the other, it's just that ways they were held that showed them like this. But thanks for telling me.

Hi Moe, When I saw this shot the only thing that went through my mind is that it is nice that war is no longer fought over religion, at least here. To me I can only think the if Christians and Islams across the world would adopt the attitude that you are showing here the world would be a better place. I like the placement not because it is showing one religion over the other but to me there is continuity between the two. One symbol joining the other in harmony and in peace. I think it is a beautiful Image.

Nice job. Could use more contrast.

Would have been nicer if the rosary beads were not the cheap plastic kind.
