marco_ruggiero 0 Posted August 30, 2005 We were having dinner together and he said he needed a good photo of himself. Comments and critiques are very welcome. Thanks in advance Link to comment
rob_duyser 0 Posted August 30, 2005 Looks good, light on the side of the face and shirt is beautiful; it seems you might just (only just) have over exposed the forehead; but nice portrait. Background is also fine, composition fine. Joe seems a tad sad though, no? Link to comment
marco_ruggiero 0 Posted August 30, 2005 Thanks for your comments. I did try to dodge it a bit but I did not like the results so I left it alone, sometimeif you mess too much with it you know what happens. You are also right there some sadness. He is going through a lot of things in his life now. Good perception. Thanks again.Regards. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted August 31, 2005 Well done portrait. Forehead might be slightly over-exposed but not a great problem. Your friend must be pleased with this. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted August 31, 2005 Marco, your friend Joe (I like the title!) looks indeed tired but great with his dark shirt... life is a long way and ... still a lot to be explored... looks like for that very man! fight!! Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted August 31, 2005 very interesting this portrait. It's simple and, yet, it fully portrays a rich personality and a long and full life experience. It's a classic composition and, perhaps, that's the reason it works so well. I would print it in a good quality paper (do you know what we call in spanish 'papel baritado'?) and present it to him as a proof of friendship. Link to comment
marco_ruggiero 0 Posted August 31, 2005 Thanks for the suggestion, I had not thought about it but it would be a good gift since he is a very close friend. Thanks for your thoughtfulness. Link to comment
