abintraphoto 0 Posted August 28, 2005 My boat sails stormy seas, Battles oceans filled with tears. At last my port's in view - Now that I've - discovered you. Oh I'd give my life so lightly ... For my gentle lady. Give it freely and completely ... To my lady. As life goes drifting by ... Like a breeze - she'll gently sigh ... And slowly bow her head - Then you'll hear her softly cry. Oh I'd give my life so lightly ... For my gentle lady. Give it freely and completely ... To my lady. Words that you say when we're alone, Though actions speak louder than words, But all I can say is I love you so To drive away all my hurt. Oh I'd give my life so lightly For my gentle lady. Give it freely and completely To my lady. Set sail towards the sun ... Feel the warmth that's just begun ... Share each and every dream ... They belong to everyone. Oh I'd give my life so lightly ... For my gentle lady. Give it freely and completely ... To my lady. ................................... One of my favorite Moody Blues songs - 'For My Lady' - from the 'Seventh Sojourn' album ........ If you haven't heard it - do. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 28, 2005 Purty Ken. I like the ones without the flowers but I suppose it wouldnt be the same with an empty vase. Link to comment

someoneelse 1 Posted August 29, 2005 High, ofcourse I know the song, and have heard it, but isn't this a site about potography???? I will ponder this..... Oh and what I want to say, my special friend, I have this cd and nr 10 of cd 1 and off cd 2 DO HAVE SPECIAL TITLES, somehow I feel it has something to do with you. But Nights in white satin will always be MY favorite, take care cowboy and have fun. About the picture, I could say a lott, but what I will say is what Janet did say, about the red in the picture, I like the contradiction between a red rose and the bullets. Els Link to comment
lgreene 0 Posted August 30, 2005 Hey Wrangler, Hard to follow the previous comments but what the heck here goes...ya know I like doing desats and selective coloring and you have done a marvelous job on this. Looks great and is a fitting tribute. Maybe the rose was picked on the way back home from a hard days work. It balances a cowboy's rough exterior with a soft spot. :-) I am impressed by how you can do a series where a few things change from shot to shot so it isn't redundant and also each version stands so well on its own. I am not rating YET but will ;-} Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted September 3, 2005 This one looks rather more driven, compulsive. Prefer the 'Sunflowers' version but didn't Van Gogh ....hmm. Link to comment

v 0 Posted September 11, 2005 Great shot, Ken. The flower adds romanticism, the attributes give the cowboy flavour to it. Neat work, man! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted September 12, 2005 Ken, talking about symbolism in that interesting composition, all ellement has a masculin appearance, a softer appearance is the rose, a feminin ellement? looks like, but when you look closer, it has thorns.... So I prefer the sunflowers.... I think the wording of blues was wtitten especially for you...cheer up cowboy friend!, Pnina Link to comment
kristin_morales 0 Posted September 23, 2005 what a sentimental one you have here. Bitter sweet...how everything is gently faded except the rose and casings...I would choose the rose. Link to comment

Landrum Kelly 65 Posted September 29, 2005 The flower in the vase is wonderfully incongruous, Ken, and, since nothing happens by accident in your still lifes, I know that that is what you were trying for. --Lannie Link to comment
