Eggleston had a wonderful photo of a hand and a drink (naturally) with a prism of light, taken on the opposite side of the plane from this.

I quite like this, of course.

I was sitting in my seat on an airliner, and the window light was illuminating the hair of the passenger in front of me. The black area on the right is just her seat. The little half-circle of light below her hair is the rest of the light-beam from my window; the sun was almost directly behind the plane.

Honestly, if any photo I can recall this far, this particular photo of yours may act in the future as my virtual whip to keep my eyes and mind wide open to ever manage to capture "essential slice of life". My sincere kudos to you and thanks for sharing this (and keeping this still online).

To clarify: it's not just the little slice of the head appearing but very much the visual relationship to the window frame. Excellent!
