Guest Guest Posted August 26, 2005 This is awesome! Especially the larger version, which shows off the great details like the grasses and clouds. I love it! Link to comment
mcgarity 0 Posted August 26, 2005 Kim Thank you. I have to admit I am very pleased with this image. I personally think its one of the better images in my portfolio even if the rating public so far disagrees. If I had a favorites folder it would definately be in it. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted August 30, 2005 My favorite part is those grasses in front of the water, especially the large version. Link to comment
mcgarity 0 Posted August 30, 2005 Thank you Pnina. I am glad you like it. I am happier with this image than anything I have done in a quite awhile. Kim when I first started posting I always sized images for Photo.net at 800 pixels horizontal resolution and adjusted the jpeg compression for around 100 kbyte file size. Not long ago I decided that since larger images looked better I would increase the resolution and size of the ones I uploaded. That may have been a mistake. I started reading posts of people that have found their images used on commercial websites without their permission. Thats happening even though the images are clearly copyrighted. After I read Hanna Cowpe complain about it happening to her in the feedback forum, I felt compelled to go back to posting smaller sized images. I am really sorry in this case because this photo looks so much better in the foreground at the larger resolution. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 31, 2005 That's too bad that is happening. I can see why you have to take precautions. Link to comment

mcgarity 0 Posted September 4, 2005 Thank you F.J. I am glad you like it. I am thinking seriously of having a Giclee print made of this one and hanging it on the wall. Link to comment
