jed goode 0 Posted November 15, 2001 Nicely done. Perhaps a hint of light to outline your model's head would be better and also get rid of the bright spot on her hair bun. Link to comment
edward_feltman 0 Posted November 15, 2001 Nice shot, conteplative. I think that a soft backlight from a lower perspective may help to define her hair, which gets lost in the background. Link to comment
alex_lau 0 Posted November 15, 2001 Nice picture. Very good lighting. I agree with the other two comments about the hair light and croping. I find the hand posture troubling. I once overheard a professional portrait photograher said "There is no reason to include the hand in a head and shoulder shot!". His rationales were: #1, it is difficult to make the hand appear natural. Arranging the facial is a major challenge already, why complicate it with the hand? #2, having the hand in the picture, it adds another complication in the lighting. Depending on how close is your main light (sometimes it can be as close as on few inches from the face), the hand sticking out will have a much higher lighting ratio. Link to comment

andreas_petzold 0 Posted December 22, 2001 Alex, Thanks a lot for your feedback. The included hand was intentional. It should give an association with "buisness work". Regards, Andreas Link to comment
hexenwolfe 0 Posted May 18, 2002 I think the hand is well included. I think the hair needs a little fill from the right. All told, not a bad effort. Link to comment
