neville_hopwood
I am interested in buying a 45-90mm Bronica zoom lens , however , as most of my photography is at altitude , where can I buy a 95mm circular polarisar from and what would the cost be ? doug_brightwell1
I believe you can get them from B&H Photo in New York. Check out the B&W Schneider brand, and also Contax also makes a much thinner/lighter version for their 35mm lens on their 645 camera. The B&W filter is thicker and heavier. Probably close to $300 USD, I'm guessing. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/
andy_ongun
Seeing that you are located in the UK, I'd try Robert White at (0) 120 272-3046. They have various brands available or they can order them for you.
andrew_schank
Not much available in that huge size. B+W makes a 95mm Kaesemann circualar polarizer that goes for $204.95 at B&H. That is the only 95mm circualr Polarizer listed in their catalog form 5 different filter manufacturers.
trevor_smithers
I'd suggest you have a look at a Kaesemann/Heliopan circular. I got mine from Teamwork, 41 Foley Street, London (0171 323 6455) http://www.teamworkphoto.co.uk Price is around £150 but well worth it. frank_kimble
Why circular? it's not autofocus, Get a plain polarisar. B&H list 2 0r 3 non circular that size.
doug_brightwell1
Does the camera have metering elements layered into the coating on the mirror? If so, those need a circular polarizer even if there is no auto focus. At least they do on my camera. Don't know the Bronica.
jim_chow
B&H only lists multicoated B+W filters up to 86mm. You can't buy the B+W 95mm kaseman circular PL in a multicoated version off the shelf in either the US or Japan. Your only chance is to special order it or try a European dealer. Most PL's are not multicoated. I managed to buy 95mm B+W UV filters off the shelf in Tokyo (yet you can't even buy them in t he US), yet they don't import the skylight 1A MC in 95mm. I have B+W 95mm 81A and 81C MC filters, but I had to special order them from a pro shop in Tokyo...took a few months since B+W did not stock them and had to make them to order. They cost $200 each.
