steven_tseng
I have 503CW with CFE80/f2.8 bay 60mm and CFi50/f4 bay 70mm tow lenses,I would like to use the step up ring 70mm, as i can use bay 60 PL for myto lenses.i'm doubt it's really worked ? or it should be no problem for the CFE80, but it should be covered by the CFi50 right ? kevin_kolosky
Steven I am not quite sure if I completely understand your question, but I have the same two lenses you do and you can use 70 mm filters on the 80 mm lens, but you cannot use 60 mm filters on the 50 mm lens.To use the 70 filters on the 80 mm lens you need a step up ring. But you cannot put the smaller Bayonet 60 filters on the 50 mm lens because that lens takes a bayonet 70 filter. Kevin
alex_b.
Actually, Kevin, you can. There's an adapter enclosed with the latest version of CFi 50/4 FLE which steps DOWN the bayonett from o70 to o60. It says in the manual that you can use only ONE filter with this combination whereas with bay70 you can use e.g. UV-Sky together with polariser or several filters combined. keith_laban
I found Alex B answer very interesting. I was put off buying the CFi 50/4 FLE because of the bay 70 bayonet size. All my filters are bay 60. Does the step down adapter also allow the use of the bay 60 lens hoods, and if so without vignetting? Many thanks
keith_laban
So ok when I turned my brain back on I realised I could use the bay 70 lens hood with the step down adapter......bad day....SORRY!
super_man
if you have money to buy hasselblad camera, why can't you afford to buy a couple of bay 60 filter. Why? Why? Why?
