tom_burke3
Umm - I don't understand the question! That looks like a picture of a 300D, which is the European designation for the camera known as 'Digital Rebel' in the US. Are you saying that some cameras in the US, sold as Digital Rebels, are in fact labelled as 300D's? If so, that would suggest that some companies are importing european stock. Warranty questions might arise....
malabooboo
Oh, this post is not meant to be serious--I read threads about ppl wanting the digital rebel to come in black (I actually like the silver color...maybe I had the Rebel 2000 too long), so I photoshopped a picture to give them what they want... Sorry if my post is too misleading in any way.
tom_burke3
Ah, OK! I'm not actually a 300D owner (I've got a D60, which does come in black, of course) so I didn't spot the colour change. Hmm... makes it look chunkier somehow.

the the
The ought to do it. I have yet to see a modern camera with a silver finish that I actually liked. I prefer black. The only time I like silver-bodies cameras is when they are old metal-bodied cameras from years passed...
cgo
I always thought that cars, trucks and cameras should be available in any colour as long as it's black, black or black ...

mark pav
Cars and trucks in black or black? Man, you guys must not live in a really hot climate. Try owning a black car where I'm living now. You'll roast, air-conditioning or not.
kurt_nelson1
Damn! I was gonna ask where to get one. I'm a sucker for unique (and black!) camera bodies. I don't really care for my silver DigiRebel's coloring. Good one! P.S. How about a red or blue model?
joshchapman
Black's a good colour for a camera. Doesn't draw attention if you want candid shots and it just looks so slick.
PuppyDigs
Too Goth for me. Besides, black sucks heat big time in Hawaii (I have a white Accord Coupe). Sometimes the light’s all shining on me. Other times I can barely see. - Robert Hunter
absinthe
Oh yeah? Well I have a 2001 silver Accord Coupe so THERE! Silver on cars = good because it hides dirt & road scum well. Silver on cameras = bad because I said so :-Þ
... thinking there are far too many of us chumps with an Accord Coupe

niels_de_boissezon1
I beleive that is the "Microdrive Edition"-rebel?? It would likely sell even better than the good ol' fakemolybdenium version. Should be sold with a white kit lens as well... Cheers Niels
glen peterson
canon could charge and extra 100$ for it. Many people would buy it so they would LOOK more like the other guys that paid way more for thier cams.
citizensmith1664875108
You think that's bad, check out the new i-Rebel due to be released at this years photo shows. It has firewire rather than USB, won't work with PCs, and is available in a choice of colors (this one is 'lime') to match your other Mac stuff. A translucent model with built in i-pod functionality is in the pipeline.
