e._thomas_hartsell
I own two Nikon F2AS cameras with the DS-12 EE Servo unit that runs off of rechargable Ni-Cad batteries. The problem is that the batteries only last about an hour. I do have a Nikon MA-4 AC/DC Converter that could be connected to the DS-12 for longer running time if I had a Nikon DM-1 cord. Does anyone know where I could locate a Nikon DM-1 cord? Thanks, Tom Hartsell

If yes, can you tell me where?
Regards
Chris
jochen_elz_fianda
Hello, there is a replacement for the battery now here:https://www.ebay.de/itm/334009227075?hash=item4dc4805743:g:-pYAAOSwXmJiad6w&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoIJiDCKDVgHgcohx6LNosPRI8ixYSeCd2gwcsQ%2FCHFwPbCDp6J2DPPHg0smRnMu8RkYBWY%2FyOBI12QO%2Fv%2B%2FqPwdfhB2sBWYxe3zYdy8mlRV4w2W7N3rQFXZUAeOWP%2BrkTlsqtQJ9OIKS%2Bq%2BOIcH5V9W3OkC4ZwJEd%2FWk60k38pZHfU3iRh1tJ4oNKJ%2FcsCTKOqcs1GU3f6s%2FeWI7OKUz9MM%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR7jGt_y5YQ or at https://www.ebay.de/str/camleyphotographic If aou have an old used battery you can try to make your own cable. But it will be difficult to get the matching plug for the MA-4. You could try to use some contacts from a vacuum tube socket out of an old tube radio receiver. Just try it. >Good luck. rodeo_joe1
Maybe Thomas and Christian are no longer looking for the items after 19 and 11.5 years respectively? Especially since they last visited this site just days after they posted.

But now we have eBay, where you can find anything you want. (Sometimes it takes a while, though.) It seems that you can buy a DM-1 for only EUR299.00. I have replaced NiCd batteries in some of my old electronics, though not usually photographic. Just be sure to take the old ones to the right recycling place. (Here, we have a special hazardous waste place.) -- glen
