Rollei Service at Marflex

I know this has been posted numerous times before but I just have to

get my $.02 in. I use the Rollei 6001 with numerous lenses, backs and

accessories for weddings in the New York area. People had warned me

that I would be very sorry with this system once I had any service

done. They told me that since Marflex is the only repair facility on

the east coast with limited capabilities, people who are difficult to

deal with, etc, etc. my equipment would be in the repair shop for a

very long period of time, or worse yet, I would have to ship it back

to Germany. Well, that is absolutely false !! To my surprise in less

than 24 hrs. after dropping off my equipment I received a call that

all of it had been checked, cleaned, lubricated (and repaired where

necessary) and could be picked up at any time. Wow, now that's

service.

Mitch, I agree and have to second your posting. Any time I have dealt with Marflex, I have gotten top-notch service. Prompt, excellent service. My problem was I had an older 6006 system and it needed too many visits to PB, NJ. But no problem with Marflex! My $.02....

Not to long ago I found and purchased a new Schneider 150mm

lens for my 6xxx series camera. It was still under warranty and I

discovered after the fact infected with fungus. I called Marflex and

they told me what documents to send and how to pack it. It was

back in my hands very quickly and in great shape. Previously, I

have contacted them for odds and ends for my camera and have

found them a pleasure to do business with. Not only is the

camera and the lens great, but Marflex is top notch, too.

I agree. This is a well-worn topic. But I will also put in my 2-cents.

Marflex's reputation for good service was the one thing that

allowed me to feel comfortable going with Rollei instead of the

much better supported Hasselblad. With all the bad things I had

heard about Rollei USA's support and marketing practices, I

knew that I'd at least get top-knotch service from Marflex. So far,

that's proven to be true.

I recently had my Rolleiflex T at Marflex for a full overhaul. The camera arrived at Marflex on Monday, and I had it back in my hands on Friday of the same week. The people there are friendly and very knowledgeable. You can't get much better than that in my opinion!
