Hasselblad viewfinders, standard x4.5 or HM2 hood x3.3

Can anyone who has used both these viewfinders please tell me which

one focuses more accurately? I have heard it said that although the

standard enlarges more, the HM2 has a clearer-viewing lens. Thank

you.

The standard has more light leaks around the edges in bright shooting conditions and the flip-up magnifier lens has more color fringing. The HM2 hood offers both better light protection and a better lens.

Hi Martin,

in my opinion, HM2 is definitely better and much more accurate than the standard viewfinder used with the magnifying glass. The later has a lot of distortion on the edges and it is not possible to see the whole image. I use both of them, the standard without the magnifying glass mainly for landscapes, HM2 in cases when I need to focus accurately.
