michael_young3
I'm wondering where I can buy a simple, and hopefully cheap, Graflock frame for 4x5. I want to be able to quickly swap the GG for clear glass for extremely fine focusing. The reason I ask is that the used camera I bought recently came with its GG scattered in pieces about the bottom of the shipping crate. The only thing I had handy as a replacement was sheet acetate. Some of the sharpest images I ever captured were made by focusing with a 10x loupe on the aerial image thus formed. If you want *BRIGHT* and no-nonsense sharp, this is a solution to look into. It's just awful to compose with, though. (Serendepity continues to enrichen my life; it just took a few extra days this time to see through that dark roiling cloud of hate.) tim_curry
Try ebay or some of the used dealers. I found mine at a photo swap meet here in Tucson (next one is March 27, just 2 weeks off). These things float around from time to time. Used mine to make a 4x5 reducing back for my 8x10 B&J. Works fine.
