Bay 60 lens cover

Recently bought used 500C, I am persnickety about lens care so the

first thing I want to do is put a lens cover on this 80mm Planar. I

also have a 150mm Planar coming. Both are the "C" designation lens. I

was told by the local camera shop guy that they are "Bay 60" lenses.

I ordered a 0/60 to 67mm step up ring made by Hasselblad so that I

could use stand lens filters on these lenses. It doesn't fit? What am

I missing here? the filter adapter is a 41530 made by Hasselblad.

The answer is that the old 80mm and 150mm C-lenses have a Bay 50 mount for filters. Your local camera guy shop was wrong.

thanks to all who ponied up answers to the obvious, and for all the other information in conversations. I will be trading with a different "local camera shop guy", hereby know as the LCSG. He reminds me of the Scarecrow in Wizard of Oz, there's a reason for that now I realise. <R>
