andreas_carl
Even the older Epson 2450 scanners are good enough for your purposes, certainly for web display or prints up to 8x10. You may be able to get one cheap on eBay.
paul utkin
Hugh, Both plugins are commercial. FocalBlade is a general purpose sharping tool and with some level of experience you can get pretty good results out of it. FocusMagic is hust an another 'edge sharpener' but it works quite well (and quite slow) and in some cases it`s very dificult to get same effect from other sharpener. You can look for them here: http://thepluginsite.com/resources/commercialps.htm From what I remember both plugins allow some free test time. tomp
I have had the Epson 3200 and done some really good 6x6 scans from it, however it is now discontinued and I replaced mine with the new 4870 which is an awsome scanner for the Price, $449.00 Comp USA, the 3200 had a D-max of 3.4 and the new 4870 is 3.8! that is right up there with some dedicated film scanners! here is a link to a full review of the 4870 or 3200 scanners.http://www.photo-i.co.uk/index.html Tomp
