bruce_garrett
Hi Irfan I have a Contax T3 that I'm thinking of selling. It's the silver version and in mint condition with leather case. What sort of price are you thinking about?

havenornirvana
How much is the price you`ll sell for?
bruce_garrett
Hi Irfan Sorry... the going rate for a mint T3 here in the UK is about £500.00 ($900.00). Good luck with your search.
joseph_verdesca
I think you'll need to adjust your price point or your choice in camera. You can find used Ricoh GR-1s (28mm / 2.8) in that range.
peter_kim2
High quality items tend to depreciate in value very slowly. I doubt you will be able to find a Contax T3 in even good condition for less than $450. I bought mine used for $500...
havenornirvana
Thanks I`ve just bought one on Ebay for 330$+shipping.
brien_m
"Sorry... the going rate for a mint T3 here in the UK is about £500.00 ($900.00)." Good one! That maybe someones asking price but that is definitely not market value.
bruce_garrett
Hi Graham The price quoted for a mint used T3 (£500/$900) was based on several examples seen in camera shops in Central London recently and in classified ads. I have never seen the T3 on sale below this price and people are buying them so... this is the Market Value. Which part don't you understand? fredlee70x7
The prices which I've seen are: Brand new from B&H USA - US$700Brand new from a reputable Hong Kong shop - US500 (which I paid)2nd hand mint going price in London (Bruce's post) - US$9002nd hand mint transacted price in eBay (Havenornirvana) - US330 Folks, if I had a choice, I won't choose to live in London, nor New York. May be Hong Kong. But certainly the cyperspace!
havenornirvana
I`m not livin in US,i live in Norway. I bought my camera from ebay for 330$+shippng and +100$ customs... so you dont really need the change the country to buy this camera. thanks irfan
bruce_garrett
Hello chaps OK... Irfan now has his T3 for £180/$330 (WHAT!)... the whole point of the original post? Consider this: I recently bought a 'pre-owned' mint Nikon F5 for £1100 (Market Value) which now conveniently converts into US dollars... ie available on US websites for $1100... go figure (an American expression I believe). Let's get off the subject... where do YOU want to live?
