andrew_frith Posted March 13, 2004 Share Posted March 13, 2004 i have a 180mm carl zeiss jena goerz dagor (thats a mouthful!)..that i want to mount on a lensboard..from my measurements, it looks like i need a mounting flange thats 43mm diameter and i think .5 thread..any ideas? is skgrimes my only hope? thanks -andrew Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
george_verbryck Posted March 13, 2004 Share Posted March 13, 2004 Andrew I have found that you can make a jam nut easily out of materials available at the hardware store. The last one I made from masonite, it was for a much heavier lens than your dagor and worked fine. Just cut a hole the size of the base and then when you screw it in the lens will create the thread. I have alos made them from sheet aluminum but I found this last one easier to make and it works just as well. Also there is a camera shop in arizona advertising nuts on ebay right now I sent them an email and they have lots of them, look under ilex and you will see the ads.
