jaakko_laine
Evening. I'm wondering if anyone's got their hands on sigma's new DC 18-50? Is it even really out yet? I know that in Germany they're on the lists and can be ordered. Maybe this has been asked a thousand times.. Anyways, the lens seems to be quite cheap, and so within my reach at the moment, does it offer anykind of quality? I know it's useless to compare to L's and others of that class, they're more than ten times more expensive and totally unacceptable alternatives. Thanks for any answers. maureen_m
I see that B&H and Adorama both have it listed only as a 2 lens kit for $239:
Sigma Digital Twin Zoom Kit with
18-50mm F/3.5-5.6 Super-Wide Angle
&
55-200mm F/4-5.6 Telephoto
AF Zoom Lenses for Canon EOS AF Digital SLR Cameras.
B&H shows it as not yet available, and Adorama's website doesn't show them as unavailable but said on the phone "hopefully 2 or 3 weeks". nick roberts
It's apparantly imminent in the UK, and definately to be sold separately. Well, according to a reputable dealer.

jaakko_laine
The 17-35 is not what I'm looking for, way too expensive, unfortunately =( And there hasn't been a question about the 18-50 in the relatively near past.
