mogens_winther
Running an EOS 10D within Canon Utilities Remote Capture ver. 2.7.1.15 - you may specify exposure times up to 30 seconds.
However - if you try to run longer exposures using the camera bulp function (Manual mode M) - the camera will refuse any longer exposures.
These long exposure times would however be valuable when photographing astronomical objects -
Please - any suggestions how to make remote capturing of say 4 minutes exposures ?
Best greetings
Mogens Winther
High School Teacher in Astronomy
NK Guy
You could buy a TC-80N3 remote, though they're sort of expensive. And at 4 minutes exposure you're likely to get a fair bit of digital noise.
richard_tynan2
http://www.breezesys.com/ - has an enhanced remote capture program that may be worth a look at.
chuck_dowling
Breezesys software does not do bulb mode either.
neil
Breeze's user guide says the lack of bulb mode via the software link is a limitation of the camera, and not the remote software, so it's probably impossible. You might want to try taking several 30 second captures and combining the results with software. This should also give you less noise than single exposure.
