mariano_ulibarri
Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me identify a lens I have recently discovered. I found it on a very old Kodak 5X7 fieldcamera (made by Ford?). The lens is a Taylor Taylor & HobsonSeries IIIA 5X7 7.7 inch f-6.5, mounted in a Bausch & Lomb airshutter. If anyone knows anything, please let me know. Thanks,Mariano Ulibarri
c_p_goerz
Its a nice little triplet that later had its name changed to something else I can't for the life of me remember right now, it'll cover 8x10 stopped down. cp goerz.
leonard_robertson
"Handbook of Photography" by Henney and Dudley, c1939, lists the TT&H "Cooke-lens, series 3a" f6.5 as a Cooke triplet formula, with a "Field, degrees" of 62 degrees. Here is one page I found showing information on the Cooke triplet design: http://www.sitek.se/section11.htm A Google Groups search of "Cooke triplet" will get you more information.
