Rollei SCA 356 & TTL Flash

I shot two jobs this past week with my new set up of SCA 356 & 305 TTL

connector on my Rollei 6003. Worked well on first job (got the film back) and

seemed to work well with second. I noticed you could not connect all three

leads to the 305 (top and left only) as the 356 blocks the right hand connector.

Has anybody got a workaround to this problem? Also, I noticed when

repacking my gear at home one of the Metz 45 CL4s would not test fire with

distinctive "pop" and the ready light would come on right after the flash. Thus

the unit was not fully flashing. I would still expect the job to come out, as Rollei

is fill flash. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Ed G

Ferdi, an SCA 305A is a TTL multi-connector adapter for use with all Metz 45

TTL modules. It slips on to the top of the SCA 356 and provides two

connections for the SCA 305 V5 TTL multi-connector 39 inch cables. These

cables then connect to Mets Flashes. The top of the SCA 305A accepts the

SCA 300A connector cable which then connects to a third camera mounted

Flash. What we end up with is a Rollei connected to three TTL flashes. I

understand many wedding photographers use the wireless system to

accomplish the same but as I never planned to do weddings I got this set up.

Now it looks like I may do some weddings. I trust this helps answer your

questions and I hope some smart person out there will answer mine? Ed G
