ricardo_villagran
HI! I was wondering if there is a way to synchronize studio flashes with the Digital Rebel, or if we can only use Canon flashes? Thanks for any information, regards, Ricardo

scott aitken
The Digital Rebel does not have a standard sync chord jack, so you can not use a normal sync chord to attach to studio strobes. There are devices you can attach to the hotshoe that can fire strobes via radio or UV/IR triggers, depending on the lighting you are using. Some of these devices are kind of pricey, however, so you may want to consider buying a 10D instead, which does have a sync chord jack, if you plan to do a lot of studio work. bill_casadei
I use a Wein safe sync for my Nikon 995, it works great and protects my camera from getting fried by the strobes. You might call B&H or Adorama and ask if it would work with the 300D.
