xav
It seems so. Have a look at the rapidwinder web site.
john_collier2
The M2 can use either the original Leicavit-MP or Tom's M2 rapidwinder. It is hard to say which is harder to find and the price of Tom's is starting to creep upward. You can also have an M2 or M3 modified to accept the winders that the M4-2 and up cameras can take. That would include Tom's relatively common rapidwinder, the newest Leicavit, and the other electric winders and motors. I believe DAG is one person who does the conversion and I think the cost is in the $250US range. Phone him and ask for a specific quote.
harry_soletsky1
His rapidwinder for the M4-2 and above used the same "dog" on the bottom of the camera with the baseplate removed used for the Motor winder. The M2 and the original MP had its winder engauge with a extention of the takeup pole. I suppose anything can be done but it is not cheap in any way. Tom did make a rapid winder for the M2 so check with him for availibility. He's very open very good at answering his e-mail. So really no upgrade is possible in any real sense. stephen_w.
Tom has sold out of the M-2 winders. He only made 270 in chrome and 30 in black. Ray Tai had a black one for sale here some weeks back. Steve
neil_swanson
DAG converted my M4 to take motors/RWs/Leicavits for under $200. It took awhile (he had it 2 months, he always has it 2 months) as I've come to expect of him but the job is right and 'vits and motors work great. james_ling1
Reinhold Mueller, (416) 467-6992, in Toronto converted my M3 to take TA's Rapidwinder. If I'm not mistaken, Tom recommended him as well in one of his post at the LUG. Here's some pixs. James

james_ling1
OK, can someone tell me why my last photo did not show up as a pix but a link? I got the dimensions to 507x380 and file size is below 100kb.
