LF foto galleries on internet - Where?

Hi folks,

For inspiration and for getting new ideas, I am looking for

galleries showing large formate shots on the internet. Of course

tonality and resolution on the screen can not be compared to a real

silver image. I have searched on google etc. so that's already done.

Any ideas?

If you go to www.largeformatphotography.info towards the bottom of the index you'll see links to numerous web sites by large format photographers (including mine, www.ellisgalleries.com., which is about evenly divided between 6x7 and large format (4x5 and 8x10).

www.unblinkingeye.com has some good stuff as is the whole site. It is pretty much geared towards alternative stuff but is a fine site.

Not everything is LF, but if you go to the sections on the left side you'll find links to Classic photographers; Contemporary photographers (our own Julian Thomas...), Ed Burtinsky, Sugimoto etc; German photographers - the whole Becher Babies scool - The Bechers, Struth, Gursky, Esser, Hofer etc etc. If you hunt through, tons of large format work and plenty more besides (like the featured Bee Flowers, who's work could quite easily be LF but he shoots digital...)
