john_miller16
Hi folks, For inspiration and for getting new ideas, I am looking for galleries showing large formate shots on the internet. Of course tonality and resolution on the screen can not be compared to a real silver image. I have searched on google etc. so that's already done. Any ideas? Cheers Rick
john_cook1
This could be great fun. I'm looking forward to the variety of answers. One of my favorites is Clyde Butcher. Anyone who stands waist-deep in a swamp with an 8x10 has to be good: http://www.clydebutcher.com/

www.graemehird.com
Rick,
I've got to blow my own trumpet here (no one else will do it!) but you can have a look at my site: www.scenebyhird.com
Most shots are LF, with a smattering of 35mm in for good measure.
Cheers,
Graeme
brian_ellis3
If you go to www.largeformatphotography.info towards the bottom of the index you'll see links to numerous web sites by large format photographers (including mine, www.ellisgalleries.com., which is about evenly divided between 6x7 and large format (4x5 and 8x10). wayne_crider4
Thanks for this thread. It got me looking at Brian's suggestion where I found http://Donnelly-Austin.com/Portfolios/portfolios.htm. I needed some LF inspiration as well....

scott_walton2
www.unblinkingeye.com has some good stuff as is the whole site. It is pretty much geared towards alternative stuff but is a fine site.
tim_atherton2
This is one of my favourite photo sites full stop - I check it every few days. http://www.jmcolberg.com/weblog/ Not everything is LF, but if you go to the sections on the left side you'll find links to Classic photographers; Contemporary photographers (our own Julian Thomas...), Ed Burtinsky, Sugimoto etc; German photographers - the whole Becher Babies scool - The Bechers, Struth, Gursky, Esser, Hofer etc etc. If you hunt through, tons of large format work and plenty more besides (like the featured Bee Flowers, who's work could quite easily be LF but he shoots digital...) oh and one that's not on there http://www.simonladefoged.com/

d._kevin_gibson
"It simply doesn't get any better than this... http://www.radekaphotography.com/" well... as nice as they are, I think it does actually. (btw, if I see one more swirling motion times exposure of running water there's a good chance I might gag!)
