adrian_lam
I am trying to verify if Hasselblad's standard focusing hood viewfinder and its prism viewfinder pm45 provide 100% image viewing. I can't seem to find an answer in any of Hasselblad's literature. Thank you in advance.
photo5
Victor Hasselblad designed the Hasselblad camera viewfinder to display a little less than 100%, arguing that the image is usually slightly cropped in a slide mount anyway. I don't have the book in front of me so I can't quote exact percentages. The waist level finder will display more than the prism finder. Cheers, Dave
nikola_kovanovic1
Hasselblad w/l viewfinder shows 95% of what you get on the film. All hasselblad prism finders show 100% of what you get on the g/glass, i.e. you always see 95% of what you get at the film gate. This has been confirmed to me some time ago by email from Hasselblad officials.
