david_gwynne
I have been on the lookout for a graphic adaptor for my universal, and or a super 23 with graphic back for the if and when scenario of film being phased out, and a digital back then needed to keep my brace of mamiyas going. However I have just noticed a comment by the wonderful Roger Krueger that the graphic backs only take non-pro RB film backs. If this is the case, digital backs probably won't be manufactured for the older press graflock adapters. Does anyone out there have knowledge of this compatability? Can the older adapters be modified to accept pro RB/RZ backs?
skygzr
It was my understanding that all backs fit all bodies in the RB system. Some interlocks and other features may be disabled depending on which combination you use, though.
timberwolf1
The RB's have a Mamiya Back, the Mamiya Universal/Super 23 can have a Mamiya Back or a Graphic Back. I do not follow digital RB products, but it seems reasonable that there would be a digital back for the Mamiya Back which will work on both cameras. The use of Graphlex back is mainly for 4x5 compatibility. Again, a "non-pro RB film back" is a Graphlex back. I am trying to make it simple!
