milton_messenger
Does anyone know where I can purchase some 3-way 4X5 film boxes? These are the cardboard boxes that sheet film comes in from the manufacturers. I need these to be able to send sheet film to my processing lab out of state. Any ideas? Thanks, Milton
tim_atherton2
do you have any labs closer at hand that process sheet film? Call around - they'll usually just give you a few
steve_baggett
I've used these, mailed in a regular box, on numerous occasions. They are reusable (ask the lab to return the bag) and cost $0.79 each. They will fold over several times with 4x5, are completely light-tight, and can be taped: Delta Light Tight Safe-T-Bags with Labels (5-Pack) for Film and Paper Mfr Catalog # 13510 B&H Catalog # DESTB $3.
matthew_brain
Buy two boxes of unexposed film and put it all in one of the boxes - there is usually plenty of room and if the film is of different types you can tell by the notches. You will then have an empty box. Make sure the lab sends your box back.
brent_doerzman
I've got dozens of empties (I work at a commercial lab), and I can send you as many as you want if you want to pay for the shipping. Drop me an e-mail if interested: brent@qubevisual.com. We're in Denver by the way.
