Hello!

I have got the Mamiya RB Pro-s with 50 sekor C and 90 sekor C, which

I am satisfyed whith. My next move noww is to get a good lens with

more mm. I have been into the 180 sekor C but have now started

thinking about the 250. Havn´t been able to find any good reviews

about it, so I wonder if any of you could recomend me of what to buy.

From which lens do I get the most crisp and sharp image? Are there

other things to consider such as wheight, distortion and so forth?

Your decision depends on the motives you're going to photograph. I have the 90, 127 and 180 for the RB and the 80, 120, 150 and 250 for the SL66. I don't need the 250 for the RB, since I use it for studio work (mostly portrait) only... and I see no pressing need for a 250mm lens for portraiture. But I regularly use the 127 and the 180 for portraits, both are excellent lenses.

In terms of quality... the CZ lenses of the SL66 are a tad better than the RB lenses, but this is marginal. Since none of the long lenses for the RB seem to be telephoto lenses, it is relatively easy for a lens designer to get maximum quality out of a design for a long lens with moderate opening. WA-lenses for SLRs are much more difficult. I haven't seen any MTF graphs for the long RB lenses yet, but my own lenses create crisp images without any obvious distortion.
