jorge
Might be old but I searched the archives and couldn't find it. I just stumbled into it through a Google search. In any case, for those that haven't read it, here's an interesting disertation on the <a href = http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp- srv/photo/galleries/essays/072000.htm>Leica Mystique and the M6 by Frank Van Riper on the Washington Post.</a>

I´am even more deligthed now to have been bitten by THE BUG many years ago. (Not 40 but a few over thirty ...) Best regards
bruno_menilli
Jorge Thanks for the link, what amazes me is how much smaller than the M cameras are the original models. Regards Bruno
jonathan_lin1
one question i have about the leica is the film loading system. do any of u leica owners have problems with it when shooting lots of film? i understand that using a hinged system "might lessen the rigidity", but can't they do it any other way? ... ie don't use the hinge system, but try to improve on what they have now.... whenever i read about leicas, people talk about how fine the lenses are, how smooth the shutter... but the loading system seems kinda wierd. scott_k.
It is odd, but it needs no foam rubber light seals.... at least on my m2. And that is a good thing.
