dan_roe1
I have a question about my FM3A. The "exposure compensation" icon and the "flash" icon keep blinking back and forth. I currently have no exposure compensation selected nor do I have a flash attached. I just replaced the 3 volt battery too. Wassssupppp? jim_interlicchio1
Dan, do you have film in your camera? Because the FM3A will blink like that when there's no film in it.
Jim_Tardio
Some things you can try is to take the camera out of "A" mode if it's in this mode...reinstall the battery making sure the + side is where it should be...try another battery...adjusting the ISO dial.
It any case, it has nothing to do with having film in the camera, or not having any.
If none of the above works, you probably need some service. markrinella
As Jim stated above, but only if you have the ISO selector set to DX.
Jim_Tardio
My apologies to Jim above, this does indeed happen if you have the ISO dial set to DX with no film in the camera...sorry Jim!
So either put film in the camera, or set the ISO manually. markrinella
I meant Jim Interlicchio above. Sounds like your camera is behaving normally to me.
