Difference between RB67 Pro-S and Pro-SD

As I understand it, the only difference between the two is that the SD has a wider lens mount to accomodate the 75mm T/S and 500mm lenses. All the backs and prisms are compatible across the RB line. The SD is also the only RB67 camera that is still in production.

There are probably other differences that I don't know about. You should stop by the forum at Mamiya.com and get some answers from their helpful staff.

As has been noted, I think the only real difference is the larger lens mount to

accomodate some newer special-purpose and APO lenses. When I bought mine, I

looked at my options and went for two Pro-S bodies instead of SD. I figured if in the

future I had enough money to buy one of the APO lenses or what have you (as well as

the justification), that I could pick up a used SD body to put it on. If you want the

most options, go for the SD. Best economy, stick with the S. With the exception of

those lenses, everything else in the system is fully interchangable - lenses, backs,

prisms, etc.
