nikon geek
Can someone tell me the difference between the RB67 Pro-S and the Pro- SD and if the lenses, backs, and prisms are compatible with each other? Thank you for your time and help! Nathan
joey
Nathan,
As I understand it, the only difference between the two is that the SD has a wider lens mount to accomodate the 75mm T/S and 500mm lenses. All the backs and prisms are compatible across the RB line. The SD is also the only RB67 camera that is still in production.

There are probably other differences that I don't know about. You should stop by the forum at Mamiya.com and get some answers from their helpful staff.
psychophoto
As has been noted, I think the only real difference is the larger lens mount to accomodate some newer special-purpose and APO lenses. When I bought mine, I looked at my options and went for two Pro-S bodies instead of SD. I figured if in the future I had enough money to buy one of the APO lenses or what have you (as well as the justification), that I could pick up a used SD body to put it on. If you want the most options, go for the SD. Best economy, stick with the S. With the exception of those lenses, everything else in the system is fully interchangable - lenses, backs, prisms, etc.
