chris_chow Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 Hi, I just noticed something funny about my MZ-S. When it is in P mode, it chooses the shutter speed and aperture value automatically, right?. Then when I presee the shutter, the aperture will first stop to the chosen aperture (e.g. f4) and then pause for a while and then stop FURTHER DOWN to a smaller aperture (possible f16 or 22). This does not happen when the camera is set to A or M mode. This is not documented in the user manual. Does anyone has a similar experience or can offer an explanation?
Sandeha Lynch Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 Don't have that problem with mine. Btw, what lens are you using?
chris_chow Posted September 16, 2003 Author Posted September 16, 2003 Hi Sandeha, It happens to all my FA lenses. I'm beginning to think that this is a malfunction.
jeff_drew4 Posted September 27, 2003 Posted September 27, 2003 Interesting. Could it be that the camera is displaying f/stops based on multiple combinations of f/stop & shutter speed combinations? I am considering buying an MZ-S and merely posing the question as a possibility.
hendrik Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 No such problems with mine (although I prefer aperture priority as a rule and full manual secondly)<div></div>
chris_chow Posted October 2, 2003 Author Posted October 2, 2003 Hi, I should add that the pictures come out alright. Thanks for the response.
