Question on Pentax FA 200mm f2.8

Howdy all,

I was wondering if anybody has any experience with this lens and its

optical quality, which I am sure is great, but also its manual focus

feel. I shoot with primes and use mostly manual focus, but I do rely

on autofocus sometimes, and was wondering if the lens can be used in

manual mode. I have the FA 24mm lens which isn't bad at manual focus

but not as good as a true manual focus lens. Thanks alot

I have this lens for about a year. On my lens, the manual focus feel is average, not very good and not too bad. It is definitely not as smooth as a MF lens. But still you can get very sharp focus easily. If you have the FA 300mm F4.5, the focus feel of that lens is better.

 

Optically, it is very good. Rich colour and nice contrast. You will not be disappointed.
