matthew_brain
Does anyone know if normal width filters eg. Hoya 58 mm HMC K2 will vignette on a 65mm f4.5 Grandagon on 4x5? Thanks in advance. Matt
ellis_jordan
I have Super Angulon 65/5.6 and Grandagon 58/5.6 and a normal 67mm filter does not obscure the view. I expect that the lens barrel is designed to accept thickness of a normal filter.
dave schlick
i have a 135 rodenstock and i have to take the skylite safty filter off using open aperatures and up to 1/2 inch movement.... so with the super wides you are talkingabout a strait filter 65/65 would probalby give big problems with 4x5 and f8 or so and larger. especially with any movement... if you stop down to f16 or f22 32 or smaller you can avoid such problems..its important the lens yo buy has small appetrue, i like f64 for when its needed.. some ground glass you will see the corner cut out, some say this is so the bellows open and close easily.. others say itis so you can see vignetting with the differeing filters, f stops and such.. if you can see the filter edge or the apeture is not round, it willbe in the picture.. if the apereature is round your ok.. good luck.. dave...
