diego_k.
Hi all, Even with Dan Coluccis great assistance, I cant seem to get hold of much information a bout this lens I recently bought from Todd Fredrick (VERY fast shipping; got to Madrid in 4 days, and acurate description, recommended). Its basically a 5cm/3.5 elmar, chrome mount, no serial number. I dont know where to look for the mysterious O I have read so much about standardizing the lenses. Im going to try this one as soon as I get my M3 back from Dags and get a proper LTM M adapter ring. Any way to date it? Any information is welcome. Thanks

stephen_w.
Amigo, There is no way we can help without a serial number. It has to be there somewhere.
harry_soletsky1
a chrome Elmar ought to have a serial #. The very early ones are nickel. Lookover the back of the lens icluding some of the baffles. Also I suspect you already know to look, check around the metal ring that just circles the glass. The aperature selling knob is there as well.
diego_k.
No number whatsoever, only a 6 or a 9, printed under the infinity lock´s base, F stops are the old style.
diego_k.
just to make it clear, I bought the lens from Todd knownig exactly the terms and conditions. This questions is only for me to gather more info on the lens. Todd has done his part very well, good description, fast shipping, and am very pleased with the deal. regards. luisarguelles
mathew_brady1
The serial number on these lenses is engraved very small on the dark ring that is inside the aperature setting index ring. Hope that helps.
