jeanphi
I just bought a 300D and wanted to try light painting. I'm very pleased with the results but on each shot, at the sames places, I have what I believe are dead pixels: 2 blue, 2 white and a red. Has anybody experienced that and what is Canon's policy? (I'd like to know before going to the shop tomorrow...) Thank in Advance.
navarra
Dead pixel are always there, it just depends how many are there and how visible they are. In long exposure it's most likely that some dead pixel will start to get annoying. See if it's really a problem for you. If it's really bad, the guarantee should cover that. They usually modify the in-camera software to "delete" those pixels, so that you no longer see blue/green/red dots. Simone
jeanphi
Simone, thanks a lot for your answer. I ran some tests and figured out that what I see are hot pixels and that they only appear during long exposures (<30 seconds). I will live we that. By the way, here's one of the shots. Technical details: about 40 seconds, one flash light, and a lot of tries...<div></div>
jeanphi
I meant "exposures >30 seconds"...
