film rules
It looks a little dark on my screen.
film rules
A tighter crop on the boy's upper body and outstretched arms would be better I think.
erik_asgeirsson
I agree with the idea to crop it a little tighter. Also, if there's detail on the slide (or negative), I'd burn the far left side of the picture a little.
sandler
I love the use of blurred motion and the kid's concentration conveyed by his eyes and fingers. I agree with the tighter crop suggestion. It also looks to me like the subject's face is a little out of focus...or it could just be my monitor. I wonder whether this would have been even more interesting taken from an unusual perspective (high above the globe or down below the subject)? Anyway, nice moment! Alex_Es
Don't crop. Any cropping will kill the immediacy of the photo. I would work on color / contrast. I agree it does seem a bit dark. The young man's face does seem blurred. This is a good picture but not a great picture. The human element is somehow not fully developed. (Let me think about this.) But a brightening up the image and improving the contrast will make it better.
roger c
It's almost perfect, but the boy's face blends into the background too much. A higher viewpoint would have solved this.
mr._kenny
i'd crop the bottom of the kid below the shirt -- turning it into a square, but then again i shoot a square too! great photo.
doug herr
I'd go with the square crop and I'd like to see better separation between the boy's head and the background.
jongraham1
tighter crop and a little PS, but tough to define boy's head.<div></div>
gib
I'd rather just say it is a very interesting and original photograph
