jfm
Can someone help with the specifics of my Summilux M 50mm f1.4 lens? The serial number is 2198868. It has the scalloped focusing ring and is a heavy chrome. What year was this produced, and which "version" is it? Just curious. Thanks to all in advance. best, Jeffrey p.s Thanks Matt Marek for this incredible lens. Be well Matt.

kens
Made c.1966. It's the second type - out of two! The mount has changed over the years, but formula has basically stayed the same as the one you hold since about 1962. That's why the 50 Summilux gets such a ribbing. Enjoy it!
