photoinnature Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Dear All, Greetings from The Netherlands. I am a Nature Photographer and am thinking to visit Oregon to shoot Multnomah Waterfall with Fall Color/Red Leaves in the fore/background. I am not sure if it is too late for Fall Color this year or I still can get them. If anybody has knowledge/experience about it, would be great to hear from you. Thanking you all. https://www.facebook.com/NaturePhotographyByDhrubaKSapkota
Bettendorf Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I've never been there, but according to this site, Oregon's peak is mid to late October. It also has a phone number for info. https://www.tripsavvy.com/a-state-by-state-guide-to-fall-colors-3362305 This one has an interesting day by day growing timeline map. https://www.almanac.com/fall-foliage-color-map-when-peak-foliage 1
photoinnature Posted November 6 Author Posted November 6 Many thanks Bettendorf for your reply with very useful links, I really appreciate. I will certainly call them and ask them. The problem is every year the peak changes - sometimes earlier and sometimes later. I recently flew all the way to NC from Europe and ended up with nothing - while the peak is mid to third week of Oct but this year the leaves are still green till now. 1
Bettendorf Posted November 6 Posted November 6 You're welcome. I hope that contact number will work out for you now, or in the future. 1
