Ricochetrider
Howdy everyone. Haven’t shot a whole lot of film this year, still busting my chops out there but I did spend a few days at The Race Of Gentlemen in early an October and shot a LOT of film there. Still absorbing it all but a couple shots have emerged that I like. Both are from my Hasselblad 500cm & 80mm Zeiss Planar lens. 1st shot Ilford HP5, 2nd shot Kodak Portra 400 Thanks in advance.

Like them Rico, especially the first - always a sucker for B&W. My only thought would be to lose the lower foreground shadow, just not needed. 1 Why do I say things... An easy crop improved the shot. I like Rico's style of photographing vintage cars and bikes. Keep 'em coming Rico.
Wayne Melia
Cropping out the lower shadow makes it a completely different photo, losing the relationship between the objects. I think it is lesser for the loss, 'tho the drama is increased by emphasis on the contrast, bot less staying power. I like the color pallete of the second; the objects becoming supportive characters.

Thanks for the input guys. I left that shot alone b/c I felt like the shadow of the person taking a pic of the car was a nice element that disburses the interest somewhat and makes the shot about something more than just the car. I terms of cropping stuff, I wondered if the color pic would be better served if I cropped down to the top of the wavy rattan fencing. In the end I left it untouched. I like the additional color and texture of the canopy and sky and the tree at the left edge
Woolsocks
I like the crop a lot. But I'm fond of images of cars without the reflections of their wannabe drivers. I used clone tool and removal tool to rid the reflections and reconstruct the walls. If you posted this image in no words I'd give you the winning trophy. Truly esceptional image. pavel_l.
I like the second shot, nice the color combination. 1 "... Our perception of the world is a fantasy that coincides with reality." Chris Frith.
mikemorrellNL
Hi @Ricochetrider, IMHO your 1st B/W photo is by far the best of the bunch! It's absolutely gorgeous! In contrast to some previous respondents, I wouldn't change thing to this photo. It's just so perfect as it is. Wonderful photo! Congrats, Mike

DesertRatt
I'm a car photo kinda guy, and I really love the pink Ford! The background has plenty of cool interest and color - great context.
