Troll
Anybody know what is the longest "standard" type lens (Multicoated Symmar/Sironar/Nikor/Fuji etc.) which can be fitted to a Technika IV and still allow the front door to close? My old 180mm convertible Symmar/Compur in a recessed board works, but I'd like something longer.
wieslaw1
I think the limitation will be the diameter of the shutter which can be accomodated by the recessed lens board, rather than by any other dimension.

joachim_hildebrand
My Nikkor M 9/300 (without lens cap) on a flat lensboard also allows closing the front door of the Master Technika, should be the same with the Technika IV. Bob, please correct me if I am wrong.
bob_salomon
I can't correct you as the lens you are asking about is not listed on the sheets from Linhof.
ole_tjugen
The critical measurement isn't focal length, but physical length of the lens and shutter. In some cases the diameter of the lens could be a problem, my 5x7" can't be closed with the 300mm/f:4.5 Xenar only because the lens diameter is too large.
