asif_habib
Jessops in UK (www.Jessops.co.uk) has just increased the cost of this lens from £379 to £449. I noticed on the description that it's now F3.5-F4.5 and not 3.5-5.6. I checked canon sites and they still show the original 3.5-5.6 apertures. They were out of stock so i couldnt check, but the Jessop rep told me Canon dont update their sites straight away. I'm not sure if my 2 week old lens is at fault or not so i might take it back (see my prev post) Probably a mistake by Jessops but im curious. Does anyone else know about this? jay_.
No new version. B&H has them in stock for US$399. I guess that's about 240 British pounds.
andy_lo
Checked Canon's Japanese official website. There is just one 28-135 F3.5-5.6 IS USM. Lowest web shop price I can found is JPY 50,900. At today's FX, including 5% sales tax, its around GBP 280. So, its probably Jessops' mistake.

richard_snyder
I have noticed that the f values for lenses such as f2, f2.8, etc are frequently listed incorrectly in advertisements both in print and on websites. Just a proofing problem.
larry_lambert1
...or maybe an intentional "looky here!!!!!!" gimmick.
