chris_cavigioli
I have a Lietz-Wetzlar Prado Universal projector set up for projecting 6x6 (approx. same as 2"x2" I guess) slides. I am projecting a focusing test slide mounted in glass. I am using a f2.8/200mm lens. The southeast corner is real sharp, real flat. The northwest corner shows ghosting (smears towards the SE corner). I am trying to determine if there is a way to adjust the optics in the Prado. I already adjusted the bulb placement with the pinhole slide as described in the manual. What a beautiful projector. see:http://3dculture.com/occ/leitz/leitz.htmBummer the optics aren't lined up. I'd love to be able to fix this. Any hints? thanks, -chris is SF
dick roadnight cotswolds
Are there any any loose elements in the lens? Does the distortion move round if you rotate the lens? Is the test slide absolutely flat? Does the problem move round the screen if you re-orientate the silde? Can you get the image in focus by moving the screen? Do you need a lens carrier with that lens? can you move the lens, and does it affect he image? So... it could be: the projector, the adjustment of the bulb position. The slide The positioning of the slide The condensors - do you need special condensors for that lens? The arrangement of the condensors The lens The positioning of the lens The perpendiculararity of the screen
