angelo_iacovella1
Is Canon 1yr on everything or do different bodies, flashes, and lenses get different warranties? I can't get a clear answer from their site or a search on this site. Thanks. Angelo
mike_kim
Not all cameras have one year warranty. For example, EOS 1V comes with 3 year warranty. Also warranty/repair service is super faster for professionals, say if you own three of Canon's professional equipment (three or more L lenses or two L lenses plus a pro-body). stu_rosenbaum1
With regard to bodies, this is from Canon's website: http://www.usa.canon.com/html/support/slrfaq.html#
bill_goldman
I believe Speedlites and other accessories have less than a 1 year warranty.
sergey_oboguev
> EOS 1V comes with 3 year warranty It comes with one year warranty, but you can purchase additional 2 years of warranty by Canon (at the time of camera purchase only) if this option (certificate) is carried by merchant. I would not care for Mack or other 3rd party warranty.
mike_kim
"It comes with one year warranty, but you can purchase additional 2 years of warranty by Canon (at the time of camera purchase only)..." I don't think so. Check B&H photo's (for 1V and 1V-HS) or Adorama's (for 1V-HS) website. Mine came with Canon's 3 year warranty at NO extra cost. A sales person in BH photo (time of my camera purchase) mentioned that Canon is trying to match Nikon F5's three year USA warranty (at no extra cost). dlegaspi
might i add that if you purchased that with an American Express, you add 1 year to that warranty...pretty sweet, eh?
