mark_matsche
Has anyone used the Aquatica 67 for underwater photography? I'm interested in stepping up to MF but would like some input from those who have actually used it. This seems like the only MF option out there. If anyone knows of other MF under water housings - I would like to know about them. Also, does anyone have a source where I can get literature about the aquatica 67? The image size really appeals to me but is it worth it? Thanks, Mark
jeff_drew3
Mark, I have not used MF underwater, but have studied the issues when I did a lot of diving. The roll film alternatives do give magical results but at a cost. Comparing to 35mm vs. MF = number of shots per roll, shallower depth of field in MF, bigger & more expensive UW cases, more power for bigger flash etc. I steered toward Nikonos and was happy, and did an Ikelite w/Canon Super8 for a while. If you are really serious, try a Hassy in UW case with a decent flash. The results should be spectacular. Check out Ikelite cases, and I think Hasselblad makes a UW case. gene_crumpler6
From looking at some sites on the web, I found that the the pentax 67 has an underwater case good to 50 meters.
