mikemeskin
Is it possible to use the CL with 35/1.4 aspherical Lux. without damaging the camera or the lens? Will it focus properly with the narrow-base rangefinder of the CL? Regards to all,

andrew_lee2
But my initial impression is that that's a hell of a lens to be mounting on that body? Meaning the lens is too large and hmm...too "aristocratic" for the humble CL. The 35/1.4 ASPH balances perfectly on an M body. I always thought the CL was more suited for the 35, 40, and 50 Summicrons; the Voigtlander lenses; and the older Leica screwmount lenses.
mikemeskin
This is a temporary solution - I sold my m6TTL because it was a .85 - not wide enough for my favorite lens - the 35 Summilux. I might eventually get an M camera - I am not sure about it. For some reason I did not get that many great shots with my m6, an SLR seems to be a better match for me anyway. But the 35mm Lux is a wonderfull lens - I think I would have to hire a shrink after it's gone...
jerry_pfile1
Mike, Most of the time when I go out with two bodies, the CL is the second and generally used with the 24 ASPH and external finder. Obviously DOF isn't much of a concern that lens, but I find it works fine with no handling problems. Don't have a 35 Lux/ASPH, but I suspect there would be no problem.
