lev_pertsov1
Hi, I live in NY city and was wondering if anyone can recommend locations to photograph wild flowers on the East Cost. Something not very far - 3-4 hours drive tops. When is the best time for wild flowers? Thanks, Lev
lloyd_nakatani
Try the Garden in the Woods operated by the New England WildflowerSociety in Framingham, MA. Check out www.newfs.org
dotty_waxman
There is a wonderful place just over the PA border (just north of the town of Washington's Crossing) called Bowman's Hill Wildflower preserve. It's a "must see". Their website also updates current bloom. I try to get there several times a year. You'll love it there. http://www.bhwp.org/
matthew_smith1
Hi, although it is out of your range, if you go to Bowman's hill I really think you should go to Fern Valley in the National Aboretum in Washington D.C. It is a one mile lope filled with more than a hundred east coast native plants. They are really beautiful, and they have many native orchids and trilliums as well.
