mikep
I know the threads are there, but I need some solid answers. Will the Lowepro Photo AW work as carry-on? the numbers seem real close to airline specs, maybe too close, but hate to have a problem when I arrive and need some down and dirty "GO, NO" advice. thanks, mike
tim_brazelton
I've flown with the next bigger backpack, the Pro Trekker, as carry-on 30-40 times and never had a problem with it's size. Just don't pack these backpacks too deep and everything fits fine, even in the smaller overheads of older jets.
zelig
I'll second Tim's answer. I use the next biggest model--the photo trekker AW--and have had success when the bag isn't packed too tightly. Since yours is a bit smaller, you shouldn't have much trouble.

tim_atherton2
I find the trick with these is not to pack them too tight - if you cram everythign in they may be too big. Don't pack the front pocket, especially. If you leave enough room to squish it a but you are usually okay - remeber, carry on regs also vary from airline to airline though
maury_cohen
I reccommend the Photo Trekker AW for carry-on without hesitation. Maury Cohen-Product Specialist, Lowepro USA
