travis1
Last time I saw the whole group of them out here was when someone (Dennis I think) asked for them a few months ago.. Now they're no where to be seen again.. I'd really like to see some of the ladies' pictures..(I mean their work) SLIU seems to hang around but even then hardly. oh well, I'll trigger my M6 now.. kevin m.
Maybe the term 'Ladies' is scaring them off? Or maybe they're out taking pictures rather than stroking their Black Paint trinkets with their pants around their ankles? Maybe it's just too geeky in here? olivier_reichenbach
Good question, Travis. I was the one who enquired about the ladies, the women, the girls, whoever they should be called. They showed up for a while, then disappeared again. I am glad you took over, because I felt that asking for them a second time myself would look like kind of... insistent. Now I can just join you: ladies, where are you?
al_kaplan1
Yeah, where are they? The fishing chat room is full of them, and I'm not too sure that they're there to catch fish...LOL. I finally gave up on fishing chat because it's more like a "meet market". But there are females on Photography Chat, and they really seem interested in photography. Maybe we're just too much into hardware and technique for their tastes. Or maybe they DON'T assume that guys with Leicas MUST have money. The ladies probably figure that we spend all our money on Leicas. They should only know what I spend on fishing...
john15
Afraid Kevin's right; our geekiness proves less than attractive to the Fair sex.
michelle_cox
I'm a lady, but I don't own a Leica, so I only read, not post. :) S. Liu is a lady? LOL! All this time I thought that was a guy for some reason... Michelle
travis1
Michelle, you have wonderful pictures in your portfolio. You sure you don't own a Leica? ;) Minilux? No?

travis1
Ray, isn't that obvious? ;) Dam* only Michelle showed up.
michelle_cox
Thanks, Travis. I like your temples. Very cool. Nope, no Leica for me. It sounds like a nice camera, but I'm very much a digital only girl. I never got into photography with my film camera. Don't have the patience for it. :)
travis1
Thx Michelle. "Leica sounds like a nice little camera"..--Michelle. Michelle, have you heard the shutter click of the Leica, it's very nice indeed. BTW, Michelle is still my favourite female name. DO drop by often.;)
andy_piper2
Hmmm - I'll have to assume Mary Ellen Mark, Jill Freedman, Susan Meiselas, et al. are out taking pictures while the rest of us are sitting around looking at the computer screen...
fay_cori
Im lurking here and hardly miss a daily dial-up to see what you men are discussing. Your ingenuity in finding questions to ask is remarkable. For instance, I could never have thought of asking which eye one uses to view with and I had to go to my M7 to find out which! When I think of a really interesting question youll know about it. In the meantime Ill carry on taking pictures.
