In 2023, Leica expects to sell 5,000 analog M series cameras—10 times more than it sold nearly a decade earlier.

Thanks Karim. I'm guessing that the only film camera leica makes now is its re-issue of the M6. Am I wrong? Regards, Arthur.

Leica produces the MP (silver chrome and black paint) and the M6 (black chrome only).

The current Leica film cameras are the MP, The reissue M6 (all brass, no zinc top plate) and the M-A.

Just more bluesky magical thinking about the storied--and unconvincingly-documented--"film comeback." Seriously?

Only Leica's auditors and accountants will fill us in on actual sales next year. Till then, the fanboys are just guessing.

New film stocks are being released at an alarming rate. Kodak is ramping up old formulations and Harman / Ilford are releasing new color films. Lots and lots of film stocks in BnW and color to choose from.

Now if you want to shoot stock photos or decor then by all means continue using your cell phone.

Show me the production numbers, not promo blather. Current film material prices are extortionate. Besides, why aren't long-gone film labs rising from the dead to service the explosion(sic) in film use? Just askin'...

BTW, nice film porn still life!
